Service Agreement

This Service Agreement describes what Second Ring provides, what we promise, and what we ask of you as a customer. It is written in plain English because we believe you should understand exactly what you are signing up for.

Second Ring is operated by VelocityPoint LLC ("VelocityPoint," "Second Ring," "we," "us," or "our"). By subscribing to Second Ring, you ("Customer," "you," or "your") agree to the terms outlined here, along with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1. What Second Ring Provides

Second Ring is an AI-powered answering service for small businesses. Your subscription includes:

  • 24/7 AI call answering — Every call to your forwarded business line is answered by a trained AI receptionist, day or night, weekends and holidays included.
  • Caller information capture — The AI collects the caller's name, phone number, reason for calling, and any other details relevant to your business.
  • FAQ handling — Common questions about your business (hours, location, services, pricing) are answered automatically using a knowledge base we build for you.
  • Appointment booking — If you use a scheduling tool, Second Ring can offer callers available times and book appointments on your behalf.
  • Call summaries via text — After every call, you receive a text message with a clean summary of who called, what they need, and how to reach them.
  • A dedicated local phone number — We provision a local number for your business that callers interact with when you forward your line.
  • Custom AI training — During onboarding, we configure the AI with your business details, services, and preferred responses.

2. Service Level

  • Availability: We target 99.9% uptime for the answering service. Scheduled maintenance windows, if needed, will be communicated in advance.
  • Response time: Calls are answered within two rings. No hold music, no phone trees, no voicemail.
  • Notification delivery: Call summary text messages are sent within minutes of each call ending.

If we experience an outage that materially affects your service, we will communicate promptly and work to restore service as quickly as possible.

3. Pricing

  • No per-minute charges. Your monthly fee covers all calls within fair use (see Section 5).
  • No contracts. Month-to-month billing. Cancel anytime.
  • No hidden fees. The price above is the price you pay.

If we ever need to change pricing, we will give you at least 30 days' written notice. Price changes never apply retroactively.

4. Our Guarantee

We stand behind Second Ring with a straightforward, no-risk guarantee:

  • First 30 days: 100% money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied for any reason during your first 30 days, contact us and we will refund both your monthly fee and your setup fee in full. No questions asked.
  • After 30 days: Cancel anytime and your most recent monthly payment will be refunded. We call this our Costco-style guarantee — if it is not working for you, you should not pay for it.

5. Fair Use

Your subscription covers normal business call volume. For most small businesses, this means up to approximately 500 calls per month.

If your call volume consistently exceeds 1,000 calls per month over a sustained period, we may reach out to discuss whether your usage fits our standard plan or whether a custom arrangement would better serve your needs. We will never cut off your service without talking to you first.

6. Your Responsibilities

To get the most out of Second Ring, we ask that you:

  • Provide accurate business information — Hours, services, pricing, and any details the AI needs to represent your business correctly.
  • Set up and maintain call forwarding — You are responsible for forwarding your business line to the Second Ring number we provide.
  • Respond to urgent call notifications — When we text you about a caller with an urgent need, follow up promptly. Second Ring captures the lead; closing it is up to you.
  • Keep your contact information current — Let us know if your phone number or notification preferences change.
  • Notify us of business changes — If your hours, services, or pricing change, tell us so we can update the AI's knowledge base.

7. Data and Privacy

We take your data and your callers' data seriously:

  • Call recordings and transcripts are retained in accordance with our data retention policy and are available to you upon request.
  • Caller information (names, phone numbers, messages) is stored securely and used only to provide the service.
  • We do not sell your data. Not yours, and not your callers'. Period.
  • You own your data. If you cancel, we will provide your call history and caller information upon request.

8. Changes to This Agreement

We may update this Service Agreement from time to time. For material changes — anything that affects pricing, service level, or your rights — we will give you at least 30 days' written notice by email before the changes take effect.

Minor clarifications or formatting updates may be made without notice. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version.

9. Cancellation and Termination

You can cancel Second Ring at any time by emailing support@velocity-point.com or calling (360) 803-7356. There is no cancellation fee and no hoops to jump through.

  • Your service continues through the end of your current billing period.
  • Your most recent monthly payment is refunded (see Section 4).
  • We will provide your call data upon request.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate service if the service is used for illegal purposes, to harass callers, or in a manner that violates our Terms of Service.
